Higher is easier to read.
The Flesch reading ease score runs roughly 0–100. 60–70 is considered plain English that most adults find easy to follow; below 30 is often described as difficult, academic writing. This is a structural estimate based on sentence and word length — it does not judge accuracy, tone or whether the content is genuinely useful.
